Butokuden - Kyoto, Japan The Spiritual Home of Dai Nippon Butoku Kai
Renshi Laura Williams Sensei and Kyoshi Mike Williams Shihan represented Treorchy Shin-GI-Tai Aiki Ryu Dojo at the above event in Kyoto Japan.
Their journey started on 20th April 2016 from Cardiff airport to Amsterdam Airport and then on to Osaka Japan arriving early morning on the 21st. Accommodation for the next 3 days was in a traditional Japanese Ryokan.

The next few days were spent acclimatising ourselves and visiting various places of historic interest such as shrines, Nara national park and the Bamboo forest in Arishiyama and Monkey mountain. We also made time for some Aikido practice (i.e. going over our demonstration plans).
On the 24th we moved into our designated hotel in preparation for the start of WBS.
